Donations
- Cash/In-kind:
GSPD is a registered Canadian charity. Cash
or in-kind donations are eligible for an income tax receipt. To make
a donation of any kind, please contact Jessica at (519) 836-1812 ex
21.
Shoppers
Optimum Points:
Donate your Optimum Points to GSPD online! Visit www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/donate
to make a donation of points today. If you don't have an Optimum
card, ask for one next time you visit a Shoppers Drug Mart. At the
time of purchase, present your card to accumulate points.
The
Funding Factory:
Please donate your empty ink cartridge and
old cell phones to GSPD for recycling. GSPD is involved in a
fundraising initiative with The Funding Factory. The Funding Factory
accepts empty cartridges and old cell phones in return for cash. Be
sure to collect these things from friends and family. Please bring
them in to Jessica at GSPD.
Zehr's Receipt
Tapes:
GSPD collects Zehr's
receipt tapes as a fundraising effort, and Zehr's Market donates a
percentage of the receipt totals to GSPD. Please save your tapes and
pass them on to GSPD.
Memorial
Giving:
Memorial giving is a wonderful way to pay respects for a loved one.
A contribution can be made to GSPD in memory of an individual.
Memorial giving is truly a lasting way to pay tribute. Most funeral
homes in the Guelph area are familiar with GSPD and stock the
materials needed. If not, the funeral home will contact GSPD for you
to make arrangements.
Honour Giving:
Honour giving is another
great way to donate to GSPD. Rather than giving gifts at special
events, individuals can choose to make a donation to GSPD. This is a
meaningful and appreciated method of gift giving. Please consider
naming GSPD as the beneficiary of a significant occasion.
* For either
Memorial/Honour Giving, GSPD will provide acknowledgment cards. As
contributions are received, GSPD will follow up with each donor,
providing a thank you card as well as a tax receipt. *
Planned
Giving:
This type of giving allows
you to establish a long-range commitment without affecting present
assets. Also, it is a wonderful way to ensure a contribution to a
charity of your choice. Planned gifts qualify for an income tax
receipt.
Bequests:
A bequest in a will is also
a type of planned giving. Bequests have a significant favourable
impact on the donor's final tax return. For more information or
further giving options, contact a professional financial advisor.
They can ensure your planned gift is tailored to your financial
state and wishes.
GSPD
greatly appreciates all types of donations from supporters. With
your help, GSPD will continue to provide adults with physical
disabilities services and supports.
